There are three types of people: "There are people who make things happen; there are people who watch things happen; and there are people who say, 'What happened'?" (Robert Kiyosaki)

I got this article from a science journal. What do you guys think?

Earthquake, Tsunami, Animals, and Sixth Sense

The devastating tsunamis that killed over 20,000 people in Sri Lanka did not apparently kill a single wild animal.

Wildlife officials determined that the wave rolled as far as 2 miles inland, killing unaware humans by the thousands, but there has been no evidence of dead animals in the wake of destruction.

This has added validity to speculation that animals have a special "sixth sense" when it comes to detecting impending disasters. There has been anecdotal evidence for ages about this fantastic ability that animals possess, but this may be the first time we have been able to directly observe it.

Many speculate that the ability to detect impending disaster lies primarily with birds, which are more sensitive to minor magnetic fluctuations in Earth's magnetic field. The theory is that the birds flee and the rest of the animals have learned to take that warning seriously and they flee as well.

Others claim that the five senses that animals possess are so much more acute than a humans that they detect minute changes in the environment prior to a disaster and flee accordingly.

Whatever the reason, this is an amazing feat and something humans should definitely consider seriously. Animals as pre-disaster warning systems.

With over 120,000 dead from this disaster worldwide, any early-warning system we can implement to prevent such future tragedy should be seriously investigated.

Eleanor Roosevelt: "Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do it, and damned if you don't."

Would you rather know a lot in a particular field and specialize in that area, OR know a little about a lot, meaning knowing a bit about everything?

When I'm drunk, I tend to repeat a lot of things like telling people they're hot, and I also tend to kiss everyone... why am I like that?
